Conditions for the Club Championship & Millennium Bowl were a little tricky to say the least, a stiff breeze and some heavy afternoon showers made scoring very difficult for the 48 players that took part. Luke Thompson defended the Club Championship title he won last year, but was pushed all the way by Craig Bloodworth. Both players shot 78 in the morning for a two shot lead over Michael Sharp, in the afternoon they were again the only players in contention, Luke's round of 76 giving him a one shot victory over Craig (77) and a four shot victory over Michael (78). The fourth and final prize in the Club Championship went to Steve Smith with rounds of 84 & 82.
The Millennium Bowl (Handicap) was also a close affair, with Craig Bloodworth going one better and pipping rising junior star Spencer Eade by one shot. They were tied on nett 73 after the morning round, with Craig's afternoon round of nett 72 enough to pip Spencer after his nett 73. Third place went to James Foyster, his afternoon round of nett 70 gave him an overall total of nett 147 to finish two behind Craig. A big thank you to Mike Rees, John Pawsey and Club Captain Peter Bunn for acting as starters and for helping with the scoring.
