On Sunday 51 players from across Norfolk, Suffolk, & Essex took part in our Gent's Open for the Fishing Smack Trophy (Handicap) and Jubilee Cup (Scratch). Congratulations to Rookery Park's Craig Bloodworth who for the first time since 2012 won both trophies. In the Jubilee Cup Craig shot 154 to edge James Tyler (Ipswich GC) by a shot. In the Fishing Smack Craig's nett 144 was two clear of David Porter (Rookery Park) & Sean Pike (Rookery Park). James who has been coming to play in the event for the last 7/8 years, was fully of praise for the course 'The best I've ever seen it' were his comments as he handed his morning card in. A massive thank you to the greens staff for all their hard work in preparing the course in the wet conditions and to Mike Rees, Peter Bunn and Jim Chamberlin for organising the prizes (Mike) and performing the starting duties, both morning and afternoon (Peter & Jim).
